This cocktail is all about great bourbon and slow-melting ice, so find an ice cube mold that’s almost the size of the glass.
Old Old Fashioned
Ingredients
- 1 demerara sugar cube
- 4 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1/4 oz. pure maple syrup
- 1 large ice cube
- 2 oz. bourbon, preferably Woodford Reserve
- 1 strip lemon rind
Instructions
- Muddle the sugar cube, bitters, and maple syrup in a lowball glass. Add the ice cube. Slowly add 1 oz. of the bourbon and stir. Add the remaining bourbon and stir again. Squeeze the rind over the drink, rub it around the rim of glass, and serve.
